 Offering a hand up to Homelessness in Douglas County by helping Communities develop successful collaboration with community leaders and service providers in those places, to make sure homeless people, either permanent or arriving in Douglas County, have adequate services and support to help them transition successfully.  

Heart focuses on Housing Equality, Access, Response, and Transition.  We believe that homelessness is a housing issue.  For some, it's finding a place they can call home.  For others we will be able to create change by offering adequate housing, offer appropriate services to obtain adequate housing by delivering stellar long term case management, and peer mentorship to create a system of care that supports sustainable transitions.  We also know that traditional housing is unobtainable for many on the Pacific North West.  

People who contribute financially, volunteer, are on the Board of Directors, and are employed by Umpqua Heart are Passionate about being helpful and kind.  They Understand the hardships that people can face in these hard times, and want to contribute to the success of others.  They Love unconditionally.  They are Supportive in the needs of people that will aid in the changing of lives.  They put Equality and acceptance as the highest priority to create productive environment that supports equity and inclusion.
